ABOUT
Mikaël H. ARBACH discovered his passion for photography as a child. After earning his Ph.D. in microbiology and virology from the University Paris VII, he decided to pursue a professional career in photography. He studied at l’Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs, one of Paris's leading Art & Design schools. In 2011, he founded ATELIER ARBACH in Paris, specializing in architectural, interior, and portrait photography. Since 2015, he has split his time between his studios in Paris and New York.
Over the past decade, he has developed a capacity to use different styles and techniques, ranging from traditional analog large-format to DSLR systems, for both commercial and artistic purposes. His clients include CHANEL, DKNY, Karl Lagerfeld, and Ismael Leyva Architects. ARBACH explores each space's unique identity, constantly balancing between being too dreamy and cleverly artistic, to create narrative images that stimulate viewers' imaginations.
